George J. Kerstetter December 7, 1930 - June 10, 2008 George J. Kerste
tter, 77, of Montandon, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at home
. He was born on December 7, 1930 in Logan Twp, Clinton County. He i
s a son of the late George W. and Adeliade G. Heckman. He honorably se
ved in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954 at Ft. Monmouth, N.J., as an elec
tronic fire control equipment repairman instructor following graduatio
from high school and a year of college. George began his accomplishe
d floral design career at Bill McMullen's Florist in State College bef
ore entering the service. He then worked for Ray Lyon's Florist and Gr
eenhouses, Bellefonte before moving to Danville in 1960 where he owne
d and operated George's Flowers and Gifts, a successful business for o
ver 25 years. He also owned and operated George's Flowers, Gifts and D
ecorative Accessories, George's Custom Framing and George's Liberty Ga
dens all of Danville and George's Flowers and Gifts, Milton. His land
scape design passion lead him to own and operate George's Treeland Nur
sery, Shamokin Dam. Most recently, he had done the interior design o
f his daughter's beauty shop, A Cut Above in Lewisburg where he was al
so the valued bookkeeper and will be sadly missed. George enjoyed trav
eling and made many trips with friends and family. He is survived by h
is long time friend and companion, Allan Wagner; a daughter, E. George
tte and husband Carl of Montandon; sons Patrick, and Drue and wife Mel
issa of Berwick; five granddaughters; a brother Daniel and wife Eilee
of Tylersville; two sisters, Emma Henderson of Centre Hall, and Bett
y and husband Harry Barner, Lamar; and many nieces and nephews. He wa
s preceded in death by his wife Patricia A., in 1992; two sisters, Ger
aldine and Kay. The family will hold a memorial service at their conve
ience at Fairview Cemetery, Millheim. Arrangements are under the dire
ction of Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, Millheim.

George J. Kerstetter, 77, of Montandon, passed away on Tuesday, June 1

He was born Dec. 7, 1930 in Logan Twp, Clinton Co, the son of the lat
e George W. and Adeliade G. Heckman.
He honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 at Ft. Manmouth

ollowing graduation from high school and a year of college.
His wife, Patricia A., died in 1992. He was also preceded in death b
y two sisters, Geraldine and Kay.
George began his accomplished floral design career at Bill McMullen’
s Florist in State College before entering the service. He then worke
d for Ray Lyon’s Florist and Greenhouses, Bellefonte, before moving t
o Danville in 1960 where he owned and operated George’s Flowers and Gi
fts, a successful business for over 25 years.
He also owned and operated George’s Flowers, Gifts and Decorative Acce
ssories; George’s Custom Framing and George’s Liberty Gardens, all o
f Danville, and George’s Flowers and Gifts in Milton. His landscape de
sign passion lead him to own and operate George’s Treeland Nursery i
Shamokin Dam.
Most recently, he had done the interior design of his daughter’s beaut

The family will hold a memorial service at their convenience in Fairvi
ew Cemetery, Millheim. Arrangements are under direction of the Steve
