FLOYD I. BARNER
Floyd I. Barner, 86, of 3519 W. Valley Rd., Tylersville, died Thursday
, June 28, 2001 in the Jersey Shore Hospital.
Born Jan. 1, 1915 in Salona, he was the sone of the late Clarence H. a
d Matilda A. Karchner Barner.
He married the former Genevieve J. Miller on Oct. 16, 1937 in Tylersvi
lle, who died March 9, 2001.
Memorial services will be held at the Helt Hanna Kline Funeral Home, 2
32 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, on Monday July 2, 2001 at 7 p.m. with Rev
. Nancy Kuhns officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral hom
e Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. Interment will be private at the family’s co
venience.
The family suggest memorial contributions may be made to the America
Cancer Society, Clinton County Unit, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport
, PA 17701, or the American Heart Association, 1704 Warren Ave., Willi
amsport, PA 17701.

Floyd I. Barner, 86, of Tylersville, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, a
t Jersey Shore Hospital.
Born Jan. 1, 1915, in Salona, he was a son of the late Clarence H. an
d Matilda A. Karchner Barner. On Oct. 16, 1937, in Tylersville, he mar
ied Genevieve J. Miller, who died March 9, 2001.
He was a construction worker for Herman D. Wagner of Harrisburg unti
l his 1974 retirement.
He was a Navy veteran.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, the Sugar Valle
y Lions Club, the Southern Clinton County Sportsman's Association an
d the Sugar Valley Fire Company and Fire Police.
He coached Little League and was instrumental in beginning Little Leag
ue in Tylersville. He enjoyed hunting and was an accomplished fly fish
erman.
He is survived by three daughters, Joan S. Barner Boone of Tylersville
, Gladys H. "Hope" Flanigan of Branford, Conn., and Leesa R. Zettle, o
f Ocala, Fla.; two sons, Douglas H. and Kim H., both of Loganton; a si
ster, Margaret M. Litz of Lock Haven; a brother, Sherman of Lock Haven
; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis K. Barner, two sisters and f
our brothers.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, followed by a memoria
l service at 7 p.m. Monday at the Helt Hanna Kline Funeral Home, 232 H
ogan Blvd., Mill Hall, with the Rev. Nancy Kuhns officiating.
Burial will be private, at the family's convenience.
