eenburr, passed away at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Mahonin
g Twp, Montour Co, PA, Danville, on Tuesday, October 9, 2007. Born o
September 28, 1938, in Greenburr, he was the son of the late Roy Le
e and Florence (Slegle) Douty. Dallas and Pauline were united in marri
age on Nov. 3, 1962 and would have been married 45 years next month. H
e graduated from the former Sugar Valley High School in 1956. Dallas r
etired from Hammermill in 2001 after 30 years of service as a machinis
t and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Greenburr
. He served our country in the United States Marine Corps. An outdoors
man, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping in the mountains. Alon
g with his wife, he is survived by a son, Dale L. Douty of Cleveland
, OH; a daughter, Coleen Welch (Nicholas) of Greenburr; a brother Bruc
e (Gail) of Ebensburg; three sisters, Vivian Gentzel (Gerald) of Bul
l Run; Joanne Brungard (Terry) of Livonia; and Inez Leitch (Will) of G
eenburr; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Services will b
e held at a later date at the convenience of the family. If desired, m
emorial contributions may be made to the White Deer Rehabilitation Cen
ter, 360 White Deer Run Rd., P.O. Box 97 Allenwood, PA 17810-0097 Arra
