Anna R. Schreck
Anna R. Schreck, 89, of 5450 Furnace Road, Lewisburg for the past 56 y
ears, entered into rest at 8:25 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Buffal
o Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
She was born Dec. 11, 1920, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Joh
M. and Katie (Wolfe) Reamer. On Dec. 25, 1938, in Kelly Twp with th
e Rev. R.L. Lundy performing the ceremony, she married James E. Schrec
k who preceded her in death on Dec. 16, 2002.
Anna was employed at Yorktowne Kitchens, Mifflinburg, for many years
. Earlier in life, she worked at Philco Ford, Watsontown, and Royal Im
prints, Lewisburg.
Anna enjoyed bowling, gardening, baking, and cooking for her family.
Surviving are four sons and daughters-in-law, Dean M. and Sandra L. Sc
hreck, of Sunbury, Paul M. and Diana A. Schreck, of Lewisburg, Carl E
. and Pauline F. Schreck, of Mifflinburg, and Steve R. and Magdaline E
. Schreck, of Mount Pleasant Mills; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jan
ette L. and Harold L. Diehl, of Montgomery, and Debra K. and Roger L
. Sauers, of Mifflinburg; four brothers and one sister-in-law, John Ne
lson and Carol Reamer, of Mifflinburg, Luther Reamer, of Millersburg
, Lee Reamer, of Aaronsburg, and Arthur Reamer, of Muncy; one sister a
d brother-in-law, Dorothy and George Richard Sr., of Penns Creek; 1
8 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandch
ildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Gerald G. and Robert Schreck; o
e daughter, Sandra Schreck; two brothers, Elwood and Francis Reamer
; and one sister, Charlotte Styers.
Friends and family are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m. Thurs., May 20, at t
he Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, wher
e the funeral will be conducted at 11, with the Rev. Michael Reece off
iciating.
Burial will be in the New Berlin Cemetery.
