Mildred I. (Millie) Herlocher February 18, 1931 -December 30, 2006 Mil
dred I. (Millie) Herlocher, 75, of Williamsport, went to be with her L
ord and Savior, Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at her home, after a courageo
us fight with cancer. Millie was born Feb. 18, 1931, in Fairpoint (Cli
ton County), the daughter of Charles Slegle and the former Mary Stain
er. Her husband, Harvey G. Herlocher, preceded her in death Nov. 29, 1
999. Millie was retired from GTE Sylvania, and for over 45 years, wa
s a member of the Anthony Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Duan
e A. (Christine) Herlocher, of Brookside and Dennis W. Herlocher, of J
ersey Shore; a daughter, Diane (Dewaine) Keller, of Linden; 12 grandch
ildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and five step
-great-grandchildren. For many years, she was a sub seller for Avon Pr
oducts. She loved Penn State Football, cooking, crocheting, sewing an
d photography. Her greatest love was spending time with children, gran
dchildren and friends. Millie was preceded in death by two sons, Dar
l and David, and a grandson, Duane David Herlocher. Funeral services w
ill be Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at 10 a.m., in the Frederick B. Welke
Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, with the Rev. Larry Wol
fe officiating. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2
007, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Loganto
.
