Geraldine M. Goodling, 90, Mifflintown
MIFFLINTOWN - Geraldine M. Goodling, 90, of Mifflintown, went home t
o be with her Lord on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at her residence.
Geraldine was born May 6, 1921, in Snyder Co, a daughter of the late C
harles and Edna (Lauver) Kratzer. She was married for 70 years to Merv
in E. Goodling who survives.
She was a graduate of Freeburg High School.
Geraldine was a member of Richfield Mennonite Church for over 70 years
.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband, who was an over the road truc
k driver, knitting, crocheting, quilting and sewing.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two daughters and s
ons-in-law, Loretta and Richard Grovatt, of New Jersey, and Colleen an
d Jerry Frontz, of McAlisterville; four grandchildren, Heidi Krihak an
d her husband Paul, Heather Xenakis and her husband Tom, Corey Frontz
, and Justin Frontz; four great-grandchildren; Jana, Will, Madison an
d Alexea; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ernest Kratzer, Elwoo
d “Skip” and Kay Kratzer, and Carol Kratzer, all of Richfield; and nie
ces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursda
y and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, followed by the funeral at 10, at th
e Richfield Mennonite Church, 167 Church St., Richfield, with the Rev
. Jerry O’Connell, officiating, and with Pastor Aaron Benner, assistin
g.
Burial will be made in Richfield Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in loving memory of Ger
aldine to Samaritans Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
