Clifford H. Barner

Clifford H. Barner, 86, of 112 Kyler Ave., Mill Hall, died Jan. 31, 20
08 in Select Specialty Hospital, Danville.
He was born April 25, 1921 in Salona, a son of the late Grover Clevela
d and Nancy E. Barner.
On Oct. 4, 1946, he married Betty Rine, who died Aug. 12, 2006.
A veteran of the second World War, Barner served in the U.S. Marine Co
ps, achieving the rank of PFC. He served in the Asiatic and Pacific T
heatres from December 1943 until November 1945.
Clifford enjoyed woodworking, needlework and painting.
Mr. Barner retired Aug. 1, 1983 from Herbert R. Imbt Inc., where he wo
ked as a carpenter.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda (Jerry) Lusk and Barbara (Ronal
d) Bair, both of Mill Hall; three brothers, Grover C., Gordon (Pat) an
d Jimmy H. (Sandy) Barner, all of Mill Hall; two sisters, Marie Roger
s of Castanea and Pearl Lehman of Northumberland; four grandchildren
; and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Barner, and a sister, Nancy H
affley.
Services will be held Monday, Feb. 4, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Dean K. W
etzler Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall. Pastor Janis Heise
will officiate. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Loc
k Haven. Friends will be received Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008 from 2 to 4 p.m
. only in the funeral home.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, 32
0 Main St., Mill Hall.
