Della Elizabeth Barner passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, in Westmin
ster Village Health Center, Dover, Del. She was 82.
Della was born on Nov. 16, 1928, in Williamsport, Pa., daughter of th
e late Martin and Minnie (Miller) Meyer.
She had worked as a factory sewer for textiles and enjoyed crafts, sew
ing, gardening and canning.
Della was a member of the United Methodist Women and Foster Grandparen
ts.
She is preceded in death by her husband Grant Barner.
Della is survived by her children, Grant W. Barner Jr., Grace E. Harde
sty, both of Del.; George M. Barner of Pa.; Betty L. Enloe of Texas; s
ix grandchildren, and six great- grandchildren.
Viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Pippin Funeral Hom
e, 119 W. Camden- Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE.
Service will be 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 10, at the funeral home. Buria
l will follow in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Magnolia United M
