Paul Roland Ream September 8, 1924 February 6, 2016 Paul Roland Ream
, age 91, of Aaronsburg, RD Centre Hall, and Riviera Beach, Fla., pass
ed away at his Florida home on Saturday, February 6, 2016. Born Septem
ber 8, 1924, in Aaronsburg, Ream was the son of Daniel P. and Tammie H
affley Ream, of Aaronsburg. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mari
an Rogers Ream, on July 18, 2015. Ream started his self-employed busin
ess opportunities on the family farm in Aaronsburg by first selling ba
by chicks. Then opening his first garage on the farm. Later he built h
is two story home next door on the east end of Aaronsburg living on th
e second floor and operating Ream's Farm, Home and Electric Supply; Re
am's Garage; Ream's Excavating. In 1964, he bought old Dairy Queen equ
ipment and opened Ream's Drive-In ice cream stand; then a laundromat a
d car wash. After selling the business in 1976, he became a part-owne
of Woodward Gymnastic Camp. After retirement, he and his wife becam
e snowbirds to Florida for 30 years, first in Lake Worth and then in R
iviera Beach. Ream is survived by three children: Judy Hazel (Jim) an
d Gary (Becky) Ream, of Boalsburg and Kevin Ream, of Riviera Beach; fi
ve grandchildren, Darin and Justin Hazel, Lindsay Whitton, Kelsey Napo
litan, and Cali Ream; and four great-grandsons. He was preceded in dea
th by two beloved grandchildren, Stephanie Hazel and Brandon Ream. H
e was the last survivor of his four brothers and sisters. Private serv
ices will be held at the convenience of the family.
