Connie Louise Stover, 67, of Flemington, passed away Dec. 19, 2013, a
t her home.
Born on April 20, 1946, in Jersey Shore, she was the daughter of the l
ate Paul G. and Sara Mae Schrack Bartges.
Connie graduated from Sugar Valley High School in 1964. In 1966, she g
aduated from Williamsport Beauty School.
On June 20, 1967, in Loganton, she married Kerry E. Stover who survive
s at home.
Connie was a member of Albright United Methodist Church in Loganton.
She enjoyed cooking and baking. She was a very caring mother, grandmot
her and friend; always doing things for others. Most of all, Connie lo
ved and adored the time she spent with her grandchildren, Hunter and K
ara.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Kerry W. (Vicki
) Stover, of Flemington; two sisters, Janet B. (Richard) Wible of Will
iamsport and Donna L. (John) Thompson, of Erie; a sister-in-law, Ann B
artges, of State College; two grandchildren, Hunter A. and Kara E. Sto
ver; several nieces and nephews; and her loving dog, Lily.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons at b
irth, Michael Edwin and David Paul Stover; and two brothers, Dr. Dea
S. (Pat) Bartges and Dr. Elwood E. Bartges.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at 3 p.m. a
t the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, w
ith Pastor Dennis Callahan officiating. Burial at Rest Haven Memoria
l Park, Lock Haven, will be held privately at the convenience of the f
amily.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Sunday fro
m 1:30 to 3 p.m.
