MRS. HAZEL A. HOFFMAN
LIVERPOOL - Mrs. Hazel Annie Hoffman, 61, Liverpool RD1, an
employee of the Eileen-Hope Dress Factory in Liverpool, died at 6
a.m. Tuesday in the Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg, where she
had been a patient since Oct. 24.
Mrs. Hoffman worked at the dress factory for the past 10 years.
Previously, she had been employed at the Good Samaritan Convalescent
Home, Liverpool.
Born Dec. 26, 1917, in Liverpool Rd1, she was the daughter of the
late Maynard W. and Verna Frymoyer Hockenbrock.
In 1938, she married L. Mervin Hoffman, who survives.
Mrs. Hoffman was a member and stewardess of the St. James United
Methodist Church, Millerstown RD2, and a member of the Liverpool Fire
Company.
In addidtion to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs.
Richard Kerstetter of Thompsontown RD1 and Mrs. Henry Messimer of
Mount Pleasant Mills RD2; two sons, Leroy M. of Liverpool RD1 and
Leonard A. of Ephrata; 13 grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Paul
Willow of Millerstown RD1, and Mrs. Pauline Lenig and Mrs. Clayton
Shaffer,both of Liverpool RD1.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in St. James United
Methodist Church, Millerstown RD2, by the Rev. Stephen E. Gallaher,
assisted by her former pastor, the Rev. Dennis W. Derr. Burial will
be in Barner's (Saint John's) Lutheran Church Cemetery Liverpool RD 1
, Perry Co, PA, Liverpool RD1.
Friends may call in the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool,
Thursday evening, or in the church Friday from noon to the time of
the service.
