    Joseph Haven "Joey" Lyter, 23, of Superior Drive, Harrisburg, died Wed
    esday, Nov. 18, 1998 at home.
    He was born Aug. 29, 1975 in Harrisburg.
    He graduated from Greenwood High School, Millerstown, in 1993; was a M
    ethodist; a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 364, Liverp
    ool; and enjoyed NASCAR racing and collecting baseball cards.
    Surviving are his fiance, Kimberly M. Hendricks of Liverpool; his fath
    er and stepmother, Kenneth A. "Buck" and Kelley Lyter of Liverpool R
    R 1; his mother and stepfather, Barbara J. Showers Pal and Dharam Pa
    l of Harrisburg; a brother, Curtis A. Lyter of Fort Bragg, N.C.; his p
    aternal grandfather, George "Alton" Lyter of Liverpool; and his matern
    al stepgrandmother, Vivian Showers of Bolivar, Mo.
    He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Frances L. Lyter
    , and his maternal grandparents, Haven and Mary Showers.
    Services were held Nov. 21 in Buck's United Methodist Church, Newpor
    t RR 1, with the Rev. Aden Wertz officiating and the Rev. Charles T. T
    essler assisting. Burial was in the church cemetery.
    Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, handled arrangements.
    Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
