• Obituary: Bruce A. Barner, 66, of Aston, PA, died on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at his home. Born August 20, 1954, he was a son of the late Harry L. and Emilie (Moeller) Barner. Bruce was a 1973 graduate of Sun Valley High School, Aston. Following high school, Bruce entered the workforce. At the time of his death, he was employed as a maintenance supervisor with University City Housing. Outside of work, he loved spending time with his five grandchildren. His most coveted title was “Opa.” He enjoyed working in the yard, fishing, building and repairing, camping and spending time with his family. Bruce is survived by one sister: Karen L. Barner, of Colorado Springs, CO; and one brother: Wayne L. Barner, of Colorado Springs, CO; one daughter: Tanya Clemens and her husband William, of Royersford; one son: Ryan Barner and his wife Erin, of Aston; and his former wife of thirty years and life-time friend, Sheri Ballezzi. Additional survivors include five grandchildren: Patrick and Molly Clemens, as well as Ryan, Jr., Dominic, and Mia Barner. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and state restrictions, services will be private. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA.
