STATE COLLEGE - Dorothy A. Foulk, 81, a resident of the Hearthside Man
or Nursing Home, State College, and formerly of Wilt Road, McClure, di
ed at 11:09 a.m., Thursday, March 12, 2009, at the nursing home. Bor
April 18, 1927, in Hollidaysburg, she was the daughter of the late L
ee and Katherine (Grenoble) Wilt. She was preceded in death by her hus
band, Benjamin F. Foulk on Oct. 28, 1990. She is survived by: a daught
er, Dorothy A. Kreps and her husband Larry R., of Benson, Ariz., a sis
ter-in-law, Edith F. Foulk Bishop, of Yeagertown.; grandchildren, Raym
ond W. and Ginger S. Kreps; a great-grandchild, Sierra Kreps; brother
s and sisters, Jerry C. Wilt and his wife, Annie, of Harrisburg, Abe W
ilt and his wife, Nancy, of McClure, Joseph Wilt and his wife Debbie
, of Lewistown, Barbara Deamer and her husband Roy, of Yeagertown, an
d David Wilt and his wife Connie, of McClure. She was preceded in deat
h by a son, Benjamin Foulk, in 2005, brothers, Sonny, Jake, John, Samu
el and Jessie Wilt, and sisters, Virginia Wilt, Betty St. John and Bec
ky Moad. Early in life she was a seamstress at the Arrow Shirt Factor
y and then was the owner/operator of B&D Market, Alfarata and Foulk Gi
ft & Variety, in Lewistown. She was a member of the Gospel Chapel, i
Lewistown. Her funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday
, March 14, at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Mai
Street, Lewistown, with Mr. David Wilt officiating. Interment will b
e in Wilt Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. unti
l the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions ca
be made to ASERA Care Hospice, 1015 Logan Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
