    Jean M. Weigel, 63, of Frawmiller Lane, Jersey Shore, passed away earl
    y Saturday morning at Manor Care in Jersey Shore.

    She was born in Rauchtown on Jan. 26, 1946, a daughter of Frank L. an
    d Anita V. Bailey Meixel.

    She was a Graduate of Jersey Shore High School and for over 25 years w
    as a nurse's aide with Manor Care in Jersey Shore.

    She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and woodwork.

    Her husband Fred L. Weigel Jr. died in 199a6.

    Survivors include a daughter, Brenda J. Heverly of Hollidaysburg; brot
    hers, Dean L. Meixel of Allenwood, Jack W. Meixel of Rauchtown and Mic
    hael L. Meixel of Rauchtown; two grandchildren, Mathew and Kaitlyn o
    f Castanea.

    Preceding her in death were a sister Bonnie Stover; a brother, Willia
    m F. Meixel, and a son, Douglas R. Heverly.

    In keeping with Jean's wishes, there will be no visitation and service
    s will be held later at her family's convenience.

    t United Methodist Church in Hastings, Neb. She is survived by her sig
    ificant other, Brian Ferguson; two daughters, Amy Andrus and Nathan C
    lendenin, of Hastings, Neb., and Tracy Lucas, of Kearney, Neb.; thre
    e grandchildren, Zachary, Katherine, and Braxton; one sister, Julie St
    em and husband, Timothy; and one brother, Curt Heverly and wife, Janic
    e, all of Howard; five nieces; and one nephew. She was preceded in dea
    th by her parents.
