    Helene,
Thank you for the quick response. My boyfriend, Mark, is also in the Coast Guard! He is now in the reserves and serves in Cape May, NJ. I am not
actually in the military, I am a civilian working for the military as a logistician for the Marine Corps Harrier program. My Dad was in WWII and the
Korean War. I think he really wanted me to join, but I believe he was happy that I was still connected to the military in some way. He died before I met
Mark, but I believe he had a part in us meeting! They are very much alike.
Anyway, I have been updating Ancestry.com as time permits. I do not have tobring the pictures on a CD. I will be more than happy to bring photo albums
instead. My niece is also doing a lot of research and we plan to visit thevarious cemeteries around Jersey Shore/Williamsport/Loganton/Nippenose (the
Sugar Valley group) this summer to take pictures. I am looking forward tomeeting every one. By the way, Mark works at Magarity Chevrolet in Flourtown. We are going to take the next sunny day and walk around St.Thomas's church. I love cemeteries and learning about the people and theirhistory. That's what their there for, right? So, if Wayne in VA or your husband would like me to do anything on this end, please let me know. Mark and I have a cabin in Waterville and go there a lot.

    Thanks again,
    Melissa

    Hi Melissa,

I will certainly add you to the mailing list. I assume that you alrea
    dy
have a hard copy of the newsletter so I won't send another unless yo
    u want
it. Let me know. You can also read it online at:

But, you probably already know that.

Glad that you and your family will be able to attend the reunion. W
    e sure
do need more young people like you. I'm sure that you know that Wayn
    e D.
Barner of Lovettsville, VA is the "official" keeper of the database
    . If you
see any mistakes in your family line on the Barner website, be sure t
    o let
him know. Also, my husband, Wayne A. Barner, keeps an "unofficial" da
    tabase
and he checks the obits, wedding and engagements every day in the PA
ewspapers. He will probably be in touch also.

I see from you email address that you are in the Navy. We are a milit
    ary
family. Wayne graduated from the Naval Academy and was in the Marin
    e Corps
in Vietnam. Our oldest son, Charlie, retired after 21 years in the Ai

Force just three years ago. Our youngest son, Michael, is in the Coas
    t
Guard and is stationed in Cleveland, OH right now. Our middle son, Ke
    vin,
decided not to go into the military. He is a patent attorney and live
    s in
Annapolis, MD. (so he's a big Navy fan after all)

Looking forward to meeting you in June. Bring your CD with pictures.
However, we can't always promise to have anything better than a lapto
    p to
    view them.

    Regards,
    Helene
