residence. She was born on September 30, 1921 in Port Matilda to th
e late Joseph M. and Ruth Aikey Flack. She married Joseph Skof on Octo
ber 3, 1992 in State College and he preceded her in death February o
f 1999. She raised her nieces and nephew Kathy L. Fogleman Harpster o
f Boalsburg, Jennifer L. Fogleman Markle of Lemont, whom was her car
e giver over the last 6 years and James A. Hillard of Bellefonte. Sh
e is also survived by her great niece, Stacy May Markle and two grea
t nephews, Robert L. Markle, Jr. and Joseph J. Markle. She was the las
t of her generation. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl H
. Fogleman and Shirley L. Hillard and one brother, Donald Flack. She w
as a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bellefonte. She work
ed at Penn State University in the Accounting Department from 1942 unt
il her retirement in 1984. Funeral services will be held on Saturday
, January 22, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wetzler Funeral Home in Bellefo
te with Rev. Barbara Ammann officiating. Calling hours will be Saturd
ay, January 22, 2005 from 1 p.m. until time of services at the Wetzle
Funeral Home, Bellefonte. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery in Be
llefonte.

James A. Hillard January 8, 1956 November 30, 2013 James A. Hillard, a
ge 57, of rural Bellefonte, died Saturday, November 30, 2013, at his r
esidence. He was born January 8, 1956, in Bellefonte, the son of the l
ate Eugene C. and Shirley Flack Hillard. He was employed at Penn Stat
e University for 29 years in Preventive Maintenance Department in th
e office of the Physical Plant. He served in the US Army and the Arm
y National Guard retiring as a SSG in the Headquarters and Headquarter
s Co. 2nd BN. 112th Infantry. He was a 1974 Graduate of State Colleg
e High School. He is survived by daughter Shannon L. Hillard (Shawn Re
ese) of rural Bellefonte, and a special daughter, Leah Snyder of Por
t Matilda; one son, James A. Hillard, Jr. of State College. A memoria
l service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at 6 P.M. in Th
e Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg, with Pasto
Renee Ford officiating. Family and Friends will be received 1 hour p
ior to services in the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, where military h
onors will be accorded. Burial will be at the convenience of the famil

, 2013, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College. She was born F
ebruary 10, 1965, in Bellefonte. Her parents are James A. 'Hoss' Harps
ter and Kathy L. Fogleman Harpster who survive at rural Spring Mills
. Jennifer graduated from State College Area High School and the CPI C
osmetology Program in 1983. In 2004 she graduated from the CPI Certifi
ed Nursing Assistant Program. She went on to attend South Hills Busine
ss School in State College. Jenny enjoyed painting ceramics, helping t
o show horses, and was a naturally compassionate caregiver. Spending t
ime with her granddaughter Olivia, who was the light of her life, wa
s what she cherished most. Surviving Jenny, in addition to her parent
s and granddaughter Olivia, are one daughter, Stacy M. Markle of Belle
fonte; two sons, Robert L. Markle Jr. of Bellefonte, and Joseph J. Mar
kle of State College; three sisters, Debra L. Weaver (Kevin), Karen Fr
ench (Louis), and Jennifer S. Stover (Roger), all of Centre Hall; a sp
ecial cousin, James A. Hillard of Bellefonte; and several nieces and n
ephews and great-nieces and -nephews. Preceding her in death were he
grandparents, Roy K. and Pearl Flack Fogleman, and a very special au
t, Virginia Flack-Skof. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m
. Monday, August 12, 2013, at Centre County Memorial Park, 1032 Benne
Pike, State College, PA. Burial will follow in Centre County Memoria
