Jerry R. Schrack Sr., 60, of 414 Old Cement Rd., Montoursville, died a
t his residence on Dec. 8, 2008.

He was born on Dec. 6, 1948 in Lock Haven, the son of Clair J. and Mol
lie Stover Schrack.

Jerry was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force. He r
etired as a corrections officer from the Muncy State Prison and had al
so worked in the sporting goods department in Wal-Mart.

He was a member of First Church of Christ.

Surviving him are his father of Charleston, S.C.; his wife, the forme
Sally Jane Stevenson, with whom he would have celebrated their 40t
h wedding anniversary on Feb. 8; a son, Jerry R. Schrack Jr.; a daught
er, Tammy J. Powell; a brother, Clair Schrack Jr.; a sister, Shirley G
ieb; and six grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Monto
ursville, on Thursday, Dec. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 12, at 2 p.m. at the fun
eral home with the Rev. R. Kenneth Weiss officiating. Burial will foll
ow in Montoursville Cemetery.
