espiratory failure, in her mother's arms, within minutes of eating th
e small granules of strychnine. Later on in his life, he is listed a
s one of 19 students in the newly formed Jamestown Signal Corps School

y, North Dakota. He was later inducted in to the U.S. Army in Jamestow
, on 4 March 1918 and was then sent to Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. He th

18. Then he was assigned to Company C, 101st Field Signal Battalion un
til his discharge. He was overseas from 25 April 1918 to 24 March 191
9 with a tour of duty in France. His final discharge from the militar
y was at Camp Dodge, Iowa on 16 April 1919 as a Private. The surgeon'
