Paul L. “Short” Welshans, 83, of Jersey Shore, passed away Saturday, F
ebruary 7, 2015 at Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

Born September 12, 1931 in Rauchtown, he was a son to the late Frankli
and Ida (Gamble) Welshans.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Larry, Richard, Merrill, Bu
ddy, and E. William Welshans, and two sisters, Nancy Shadle and Jane B
uttoroff.

Paul retired from Textron after many years of service. He was an avi
d outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish.

Surviving are his loving wife, Sarah A. (Wise) Welshans; daughters, Ba
bara Welshans of Jersey Shore, Terry (Clarence) Lannan of South Avis
, Maxine (Robert) Grimm of Castanea, and Carol Welshans of Jersey Shor
e; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Lewis Welsha
s of Rauchtown, Stanley Welshans of Rauchtown, and Barry Welshans; si
sters, Mavis Rauch of Nesbitt and Sharon Lamey of Rauchtown; and man
y nieces and nephews.

Services at Jersey Shore Cemetery will be held at the convenience of t
he family.

Barbara J. Welshans, 59, of Jersey Shore, passed away Monday, Feb. 16
, 2015, at her home.

She was born Nov. 18, 1955, in Jersey Shore. Barbara was preceded in d
eath by her father, Paul Welshans on Feb. 7, 2015.

Barbara loved Elvis and country music.

Surviving are her mother, Sarah A. (Wise) Welshans; sisters, Terry (Cl
arence) Lannan, of South Avis, Maxine (Robert) Grimm, of Castanea, an
d Carol Welshans, of Jersey Shore; three nephews; two nieces; three gr
eat-nieces; three great-nephews; and aunt and uncle, Hiya Mom and Hiy
a Dad.

Services will be private and burial will be held at Jersey Shore Cemet
ery.
