    MISHAWAKA - Scott Calvin Barner, age 82 of Mishawaka, passed away Thur
    sday, January 18, 2018 at the Grand Emerald Place Assisted Living Cent
    er in South Bend. Scott was born January 23, 1935 in Jersey Shore, Pen
    sylvania to the late Calvin and Nancy Barner. Following his high scho
    ol graduation, Scott enlisted in the US Navy in 1952 and served honora
    bly until his discharge in 1956. While in the Navy, he married Yvonn
    e Brown. Yvonne preceded him in death, passing away in 1994.

    Surviving are his children Scott E. (Judy Powell) Barner of Elkhart an
    d Kathryn (Ron) Carlson of Mishawaka. Also surviving is his brother Ri
    chard (Judy) Barner, 9 grandchildren and several great and great-grea
    t grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Terry L. Barner a
    d his sister JoAnn Odynski.

    Visitation will be held from 3-6 pm Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Cruz F
    amily Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Osceola. Funeral service
    s will be held at 1pm Monday, January 22, 2018 at Cruz Family Funera
    l Home with interment and Military Honors to follow in Chapel Hill Mem
    orial Gardens, Osceola.

    Scott was employed as a brake repairman with the New York Central Rail
    oad Line, retiring at the age of 59. He was a hard worker and a prou
    d Veteran.

    Kenneth G. Klobe, 72, of 31 Hoover St., Williamsport, died Wednesday
    , Nov. 7, 2007, at his home.

    Born Sept. 28, 1935, in Jersey Shore, he was a son of Kenneth L. and M
    ary E. Barner Klobe.

    Ken had been a manager with Weis Markets for 35 years and was a self-e
    mployed building contractor.

    He was a lover of the outdoors, especially Pine Creek and Slate Run. H
    e enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ken was a social member of VFW Post 786
    3, DuBoistown.

    Surviving are his wife of 30 years, the former Doris C. Funck; his chi
    ldren, Thomas Zimmerman of Montoursville, Barb Eagan and Sandra Smit
    h of Las Vegas, Nev., and Susan Morris of Vista, Calif.; three grandda
    ughters, Stacy Zimmerman, and Erin and Bailey Smith; two brothers, Gay
    lon of Jersey Shore and John of York; and three sisters, Shirley Martu
    tte of York, Dorothy Cooper of Lock Haven and Mary Reeder of Woolrich.

    A memorial service will be held at the Covenant Central Presbyterian C
    hurch, 807 W. Fourth St., at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. John A. Br
    indger officiating. Friends will be received in the church lounge fro
    m 10 until time of service on Saturday.

    Dorothy Leah Cooper, 67, of 126 Merrill Lane, Lock Haven, died Thursda
    y, Nov. 5, 2009 at Manor Care Nursing Home, Jersey Shore.

    Born Jan. 11, 1942 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Ken
    eth L. and Mary Elizabeth Barner Klobe.

    She married John W. Cooper, who died Dec. 14, 2005.

    She graduated from the former Lock Haven High School.

    Dorothy attended the Woolrich United Methodist Church, and she loved s
    pending time in the outdoors, and doing various crafts, including woo
    d burning, drawings and paintings.

    Most of all she loved time spent with her family. She loved her dogs C
    inder, Domino and the late Cuddles.

    She is survived by two daughters, George L. Eckley and Dawn Marie Aski
    s, both of Williamsport; two sons, Eugene L. Eckley of Lock Haven an
    d Glen P. (Peggy Sue) Eckley of McElhattan; two brothers, Gaylon Klob
    e of Rauchtown and John Klobe of York; two sisters, Mary Lou Reeder o
    f Woolrich and Shirley Marquette of York; seven grandchildren and fou
    great-grandchildren.

    In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by t
    wo brothers, Kenneth and Bill Klobe.

    Private services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial wil
    l be in Oval Cemetery, Oval. Memorial contributions may be made to th
    e American Cancer Society, Community Nursing Service Hospice of Clinto
    County or Susquehanna Home Care and Hospice.

    Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Donald G. Walker Funer
    al Home Inc., Flemington.
