    Born in Tylersville on Oct. 30, 1917, she was the daughter of the lat
    e William L. and Barbara Anna (Bierly) Barner.
    She was a member of the Albright United Methodist Church, Loganton.
    She was a graduate of Loganton High School, Class of 1934.
    Barbara was a member of the Sugar Valley Volunteer Fire Co. No. 13, wh
    ere she served as treasurer for 17 years and was also a charter membe
    of the ladies auxiliary.
    She retired in 1980 as the cafeteria manager of the Sugar Valley Schoo
    l and was a member of PSFSA.
    Her survivors include a son, William C. (Kathaleen) Brungart of Logant
    on and a daughter, Gloria (C. Clifford) Geyer of Loganton; five grands
    ons; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons.
    Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers
    , Charles and Sherman Barner and two sisters, Mary Gilmore and Wilhelm
    ina Wasson.
    The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in the Wayne P
    . Urbine Funeral Home Inc., 95 E. Main St., Loganton, with the Rev. Ka
    y Schwab officiating. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on T
    hursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery
    , Loganton. If desired, memorials may be sent to the Sugar Valley Fir
    e Co. No. 13, 24 W. Anthony St., Loganton, Pa. 17747.

    Adelia G. Workman, 73, of 230 E. Keller St., Lock Haven, died Sunday
    , July 19, 2009 at Williamsport Hospital.

    She was born May 9, 1936 in Tylersville, a daughter of the late Alle
    and Beatrice Frank Miller.

    She was a 1954 graduate of the former Sugar Valley High School and wa
    s employed in various departments of Keystone Central School District
    , retiring after 24 years of service.

    A member of the First Church of Christ, Lock Haven, she also was a mem
    ber of the McElhattan Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, an active member an
    d volunteer with the Mill Hall Senior Community Center and served a
    s a Girl Scout leader and Hemlock Council representative.

    She loved to play cards and was an avid bingo player and storyteller
    . Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

    She is survived by two daughters, Debra Raines and Terry (Larry) Leupo
    ld, both of Lock Haven; a son, James "Rusty" Workman of Milesburg; fiv
    e sisters, Julia (Walter) Wagner and Mary (Dean) Schmidt, both of Tyle
    sville, Linda (Robert) Arment of Erie, Audrey Hanson of Elburn, Ill
    . and Grace Weaver of Loganton; a brother, Robert Miller of Huntingdon
    ; eight grandchildren, Heather and Brian Raines, Jeremy, Justin and Sa
    mantha Leupold, Nichole Taylor, Amanda Rhine and Tanya Workman; thre
    e great-grandchildren, Trevor and Carter Rhine and Olivia Taylor; an
    d several nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by a son, James Allen Workman.

    Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Donald G. Walker F
    uneral Home Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, with the Rev. Steve Salmo
    officiating. Private burial services will be at the convenience of t
    he family in the Tylersville Cemetery. Friends will be received at th
    e funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may b
    e made to the Mill Hall senior center or the McElhattan Fire Co. Ladie
    s Auxiliary.

    Mary Kathryn Parks, 92, of McElhattan entered into the arms of her Lord on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.

    Born May 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Robert and Mary Barner Gilmore.

    Mary Kathryn graduated from Mill Hall High School and enjoyed attending the class reunions.

    She was employed by Hammermill Paper Co. for 26 years. She was also a friend and caregiver for many years to Hall and Betty Achenbach.

    Mary Kathryn was active in her church, serving on many committees, and especially enjoyed going on mission trips.

    In recent years, she enjoyed going to the Texas Restaurant in Lock Haven and volunteering at the Salvation Army.

    She is survived by four sons, Lewis A. (Peggy) of Mechanicsburg, Ronald C. (Linda) of Mill Hall, Robert F. (Mary Ellen) of McElhattan and John O. (Crystal) Parks of Mill Hall; a sister, Charlotte Fetterolf of Madisonburg; a daughter-in-law, Marie Lomison of Howard; and a near and dear friend, Holly Yohe of Williamsburg.

    Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Scott (Nan) Parks, Jennifer (Scott) Parks-Snyder, Joelle (Shawn) Gil, Aaron Parks, Travis (Amanda) Parks, Adam Parks, Jacob (Alesia) Parks, Katie Ann (Zachary) Renzo and Eli Parks, as well as 11 great grandchildren, Will, Drew and Allison Parks, Lucas, Alex and Davis Snyder, Isaac Parks, Isabeau and Henry Parks and Corbin and Sage Parks.

    Mary Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F. Parks (1991); a son, Richard W. Parks (1995); three sisters, Sarah, Polly and Grace; and two brothers, Robert and Tommy.

    A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020 at 11 a.m. at McElhattan United Methodist Church, 502 McElhattan Drive, McElhattan, with Pastor Laura King officiating. Interment at Hayes-Fearon Cemetery will be at the convenience of her family.

    Friends and family will be received on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, and again on Saturday at McElhattan United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

    Memorial contributions in Mary Kathryn’s name may be made to either the McElhattan United Methodist Church or the Lock Haven Salvation Army through the funeral home.

    Gloria was a 1958 graduate of the former Sugar Valley High School, Log
    anton, and was later employed there as a cashier in the cafeteria fro
    m 1960 to 1992.

    Cliff and Gloria were wed on July 26, 1961, and shared over 54 years o
    f marriage together.

    Gloria was a member of the Sugar Valley Volunteer Fire Co. #13 Ladie
    s Auxiliary and from 1968 served as treasurer.

    She was a member of Albright United Methodist Church, Loganton.

    Gloria enjoyed playing bingo, traveling to the casinos and drag racing
    , but most importantly, she enjoyed her family, especially her grandch
    ildren and great-grandchildren.

    Along with her husband, she is survived by three sons, Bryan (Cynthia
    ) Geyer of Loganton, Alan (Tammy) Geyer of Linden, and Troy (Michele
    ) Geyer of Loganton; a brother, William "Bill" Brungart of Loganton; t
    hree grandchildren; a step-granddaughter; and four great-grandchildren
    .

    The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at 11 a.
    m. in the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., 95 E. Main St., Loganton
    , with the Rev. Karl W. Runser III officiating. A visitation will be h
