Eleanor Jean (Kulp) Lamey, 80, wife of Robert D. Lamey of 1346 E. Wint
er Road, Loganton, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sun
day, Feb. 19, 2017.
Born in Loganton on May, 3, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Che
ster F. and Ardena R. (Heltman) Kulp.
“Jean” and Bob were wed on Aug. 6, 1954, and shared over 62 years of m
arriage together and for many of those years operated a dairy farm tog
ether in Loganton.
Her hobbies were reading, playing cards, crocheting and word puzzles.
“Jean” loved drinking coffee and knowing what everyone was having fo
supper.
Her greatest joy was that of a homemaker and wife, her children, grand
children and the youngest and very special ones of her family, her gre
at-grandchildren.
Along with her husband she is survived by eight children, Carolyn (Dav
e) Leigey, Bob (Tammy) Lamey, Dave (Lisa) Lamey, Lisa (Butts) Smith, F
orrest (Cheryl) Lamey, Scott Lamey, Candy (Jimmy) Matthews and Johnn
y (Sonya) Lamey all of Loganton; a sister, Liz (Earl) Weaver of Logant
on; a brother, Richard (Peg) Kulp of Mifflinburg; 13 grandchildren an
d 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by five siblings, LaRu
e Kulp, Hazel Boone, Mabel Welshans, Dorothy Neese and Jane Auman.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at 11 a.m
. in the Albright United Methodist Church, 47 E. Main St., Loganton, w
ith Rev. Elizabeth R. Taylor officiating. A viewing will be held in th
e church on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, from 6 - 8 p.m. Final Intermen
t will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Loganton.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home
, Inc., 95 E. Main St., Loganton, Pa.
