Geraldine M. Shadle
Geraldine M. “Jeri” Shadle, 77, passed away Monday, February 18, 2008
, at the Williamsport Home.
She was born January 24, 1931, in Washington DC, the daughter of Prest
on D. and Nellie Furber
Markham.
Jeri was the wife of John I. Shadle for 49 years and he survives.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and a voracious reader.
Jeri was always willing to help those in need.
She assisted at the family business, Shadle’s Texaco & Shadle’s Garage
.
Surviving besides her husband, John, are a son, Sanford L. (Jill) Shad
le of Monterey, Calif.; three
daughters, Linda A. (dec. Mike) Bloom of Williamsport, Susan B. Altonj
i of White House, N.J., and Mary
Ellen Gi?ie of Vienna, Va.; sisters, Linda M. Woodruff of Bowie, Md.
, and Edith M. Clark; ten
grandchildren, Mindy (Eric) Hill, Michael Bloom, Sanford Shadle, Joh
Shadle, Jason Shadle, Anthony
(Jenn) Bloom, Tamara Shadle, Timmy Altonji, Kristen Pappano and Patric
ia Golden; 12 great
grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Raymond and Gerald Markham, an
d a sister, Mary L. Nixon.
Relatives and friends are invited to Jeri’s Life Celebration service a
t noon on Saturday, February 23, 2008
at the Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., 500 W. Fourth St. with the Rev. Ran
dy Perry officiating. A visitation
will be from 10 a.m. until noon. Burial will follow in the Linnwood Ce
metery in McElhattan.
